Our Computer Hardware students had an amazing hands-on experience building a high-powered Threadripper computer at Central Wyoming College (CWC)! Not only did they get to dive into advanced tech, but each student also came back with a free decommissioned desktop computer, courtesy of CWC. We’re excited to install Linux on these desktops, giving students their own machines to practice building, dismantling, and experimenting with Linux systems. Huge thanks to CWC for supporting our students’ learning and making this unforgettable experience possible!

To end out our senior shout-outs, we are featuring our floor captain, Gracie! We appreciate the knowledge of the game that she brings to the team. She is always up for trying new rotations/offenses and working with the hitters to encourage them to realize their full potential. She has also used her role as captain to push the younger athletes to higher levels, and in a way, really leaving behind her legacy of her love for the game. Thank you for all you bring to the team, Gracie! Here's more about Gracie: How long have you played volleyball? I have played volleyball for 9 years. I started playing AAU in the 4th grade and then started playing school ball in 5th grade. I have also travelled with my AAU team to Las Vegas’s In It To Win It and the Phoenix Volleyfest. What do you love about volleyball? I love the community that can come with volleyball. The people that you play with can make the game ten times better, and you can build all kinds of relationships. I also just love the game. What advice would you give younger players? The advice I would like to pass on to younger players is to be coachable and form a love for the game. Even if the love is for the people you meet in it or if it is for the actual game. I have found love for people who compete with me and the game.

Senior Week, Day 3! Today, we are featuring Jonae! We appreciate Jonae's competitive edge and how she's always looking for ways for our team to increase our chances for success. Jonae has played a few positions for us throughout the last two seasons, but ultimately found a solid home at middle where she gets the job done! Here's more about Jonae: How long have you played volleyball? I've been playing since fifth grade so counting my senior year, eight years. What do you love about playing volleyball? I love playing because it's fun when it gets competitive. It's also a team working sport, so the more me and my team build trust amongst each other, the better our goals and outcomes become. What advice would you like to pass on to younger players? The advice I would pass onto younger players is to not give up even when it gets emotionally and physically hard, especially on your teammates. And to be very open to new positions and try your very best at each one. Each game will not go the way you want them to be but be open-minded not only to yourself but your team and coaches. It's very important to be a coachable player as well, it builds a lot of character and an athlete as well. And overall just have fun!!
