Senior Week continues! Today, we are featuring Emma. We were excited that Emma came back for her senior year. We appreciate Emma's growth mindset, as she is always wanting to learn how to do something better and with more accuracy. She is a great role model for our younger players. Thanks for all you bring to the team! Here's more about Emma:
How long have you played volleyball?
I’ve played volleyball for 5 years (with a break in junior year).
What do you love about volleyball?
I love the team aspect of the game and how we all have to work together to get what we want.
What advice would you like to pass on to younger players?
My advice would be that volleyball takes patience, you won’t be able to perfectly pass the first ball you ever touch, and you won’t be able to hit the 10ft line every time. When you put in the practice, you’ll see the results and that time comes with patience.

It's Senior Week! The volleyball coaches are excited to highlight their senior athletes. Today, we are featuring Natalie. We appreciate the adaptability and leadership qualities she brings to our team. Any job needed on the court, she is willing to step up and help handle. From setter to hitter to libero, Natalie finds joy in playing every position. Thank you for all you bring to the team, Natalie! Here is a bit more about Natalie:
What do you love about playing volleyball?
Volleyball is a very organic game. It changes every play, every practice, every ball, and with every player. That’s what I love about it. For me, it’s hard to overthink volleyball, because there is no time for it. You have to be in the moment to play volleyball, what’s not to love about being in the moment?
How long have you been playing?
I have been playing since my 5th grade year. So counting this year, 8 years.
What advice would you like to pass on to younger players?
If I could pass on advice to younger players, it would be to be organic with the game. I’ve played every position and found joy in all of them, had different coaches and had fun with all of them, and played with different girls and loved each of them. It’s so much better to be happy about what you have been given, then sad about what you are missing. Find joy in everything, and love everyone around you.

Kelli Walker, Shino David, Trish Wederski, and Mara Mills (BEST community BBQ servers EVER)
Gary Hamlin and Curtis Hennrich (helping with facilities set up/take down for all the weeks' events)
FULL CUSTODIAL STAFF (helping clean up from the weeks' events, even at late hours of the night)
Michael Adams and the band/drumline (playing at coronation, volleyball, and football games)
Madison David (assistance with getting social media posts out to the community)
Scott Groenke and Joel Harms (hosted an excellent fun run for a great cause)
Lacy Nichols and Jessie David (incredibly wonderful office ladies that helped with a million miscellaneous tasks for the dance, parade, football halftime, and more)
There are dozens of additional individuals that were incredibly helpful not listed here. This includes all of the families and businesses that donated vehicles and trailers for use in the parade, showing up to drive those vehicles, having additional floats in the parade, those of you that showed up to watch parade and/or coronation, students helping contribute the BBQ, fans showing gup to the volleyball games and football games to support our athletes, and more...THANK YOU to you all!
