2/2/26 AD Weekly Schedule
UPDATE FOR FEB 4TH:
Yth (A only) @ 4:00 PM
JH (A / B) @ 5:00/6:00pm

On Friday Middle School MathCounts traveled to Green River for a practice competition. Individually, the 8th graders (Jayden Bilby, Zoey Klein, and Berkeley Beutler) all scored personal bests with Zoey and Berkeley becoming the 3rd and 4th students in school history to score in the 20s. Zoey represented Wind River in the CountDown round and advanced to the second round with an upset win over the 5th seed. However, the youngsters (Amelia Denke and Eddy Beutler) beat the 8th graders in convincing fashion during the team round. The top 8 scoring students during the regular season now move on to the Chapter Competition (think regionals) in Casper on February 28th.

Kids Heart Challenge kicks off on 2/2/2026. This year’s event is more than just fun; it’s our school’s service project in partnership with the American Heart Association. Students will learn healthy habits while helping kids with special hearts and supporting families right here in our community through donations to fight heart diseases and stroke.

Our tiny guests are now growing up and turning into sac-fry! Over the weekend, they started popping out and are swimming around in our egg basket. The 4th graders are going to be surprised because last week, they did the math to determine when they would hatch, and they predicted 1/23 as the date. Of course, it doesn't help when Mr. Wright adjusts the water temperature a little and ruins their calculations!

Parents and guardians, please share your perspective in this short survey. Your voice is essential to our success. To ensure privacy, all responses are anonymous. This morning, an unusual odor was present in the middle school / high school hallways. MSHS students and staff are gathered in the elementary gym while the odor is being investigated by the fire department.
If your student will be arriving late to school, please have them report to the elementary office.
More information to come.

Also, we have now had two students in the history of Wind River MathCounts to score in the 20s. Congrats to Eddy for finishing 7th and winning a Countdown Round as well as our top team for finishing 4th and scoring the highest of any previous Wind River Team.
