Wind River School will be hosting a Veterans Day Assembly Tuesday, November 11th starting at 1:00PM. We invite all veterans and their families to attend. Light refreshments will be provided afterwards.

There will be a Youth Girls' Basketball game on Friday November 14th in Greybull at 3:00PM. This game is a new scheduled game and will not be on the schedule you already have.

Have you seen the new sign up at Wind River? November is Native American Heritage month and Wind River Schools are celebrating!
The district purchased two teepees with Title VI funds. Thanks to Josh Friday and his family for helping set them up in the grove.
Students are sharing the Pledge of Allegiance in Arapaho and Shoshone every day this month during morning announcements.
We will have dress up days the week of November 17th-20th.
On November 25th, we will have a Native American Dance Showcase highlighting our Wind River students and their families. Frybread and stew will also be served for lunch this day.
We are grateful for the rich culture and heritage that our Native American families share with us at Wind River.

Congratulations to our Middle School students on a very successful first quarter! 82% of the Middle School students finished the 1st Quarter with a 3.0 GPA or higher! The kids loved earning their Honor Roll Certificates! Keep it up Middle School!!

Senior students are preparing for their futures by learning about career opportunities in their fields of interest, visiting with college professors, attending college classes, learning about financial aid for college and trade schools, and making two year life plans.



There has been a case of pertussis, aka. whooping cough, in Fremont County School District #6. If you have concerns or symptoms consult with your health care provider about strategies to avoid contracting pertussis.

I first want to congratulate the HS Lady Cougar Volleyball team on a successful season! We showed well at the regional tournament, so congratulate these ladies if you see them out and about!

Fremont County School Dist. #6 has started the process of the Alternate Calendar Application for the 2026-2028 school years. With this application, we are required to have family and stakeholder input. Please take time to fill out the following survey. We greatly appreciate it.

Parents and guardians of tribally enrolled students and descendants are invited to our JOM Potluck on Tuesday, November 4th in the MS/HS student center at 6:00 PM. Help us plan our Native American Heritage Month Celebration!

The 2025 Drama Showcase is going to take place on November 14th and 15th at 6pm in the MS/HS Commons! This year's theme is "We Are Here," addressing the common feeling of being alone in life, and working through the idea that someone will always find you! See performances of Stage Combat, Creative Movement, and student acting while enjoying a night of fun on the stage! FREE to everyone. Donations accepted at the door!

Crazy Horse Memorial University presented to our Native American Juniors and Seniors about a free summer opportunity in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Students can earn 12 college credits and complete a paid internship at Crazy Horse Memorial in an 8-week session after high school graduation. Credits are transferable to any college or university. Students will receive academic advising and check ins throughout their college journey. Let Mrs. Mills know if your student is interested in this opportunity!

Wind River School WILL NOT be affected by the power outage posted by High Plains Power. All schools will be running as scheduled tomorrow, October 30th.
