The reason is Saratoga doesn't have enough players to play this first game.

Reminder: Wind River Elementary is hosting Free Developmental Screenings for infants, toddlers and preschoolers Thursday, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. by the Early Intervention Program. The Screen for Success event is sponsored by Fremont County School District #6 in collaboration with the Early Intervention Program - Wyoming Child Development Center Region 14.

Picture Day is next week, so watch for photo packets going home with your student. Photos at Wind River Elementary will be taken on Wednesday, Aug. 30; and all other schools will have pictures taken on Thursday. If you do not receive a packet contact your school office. A mandatory High School Football, Cross Country Parent/Legal Guardian Meeting August 21st @ 6:00p.m. or August 24th @ 5:45 in the Wind River High School Commons Parents/Legal Guardians must attend with their athlete(s) in order for their athlete(s) to continue with the season, since there will be paperwork for you to sign. We will review program policies and eligibility, and Athletic Director, Mr. Harrison will be reviewing our athletic handbook.

Congratulations to Angela Spoonhunter and Allison Tidzump on receiving the Pacesetter Award! This award is given to Native American high school students who demonstrate leadership, academic achievement and attendance, community service, and aspirations for continued education after high school. Both of these outstanding young women exemplify these attributes and we are proud of the way they represent Wind River Schools!

This week, Coach Remacle and Griebel are excited to highlight our volleyball 100%'ers for the first week of practice. These ladies committed to every morning and afternoon practice. We are proud of their commitment, and navigating the challenges that come with two-a-days. We see you! We look forward to highlighting our volleyball athletes throughout the season. Go Cougars!

A Volleyball Skills Camp has been scheduled Aug. 9-10 for female students in 5th - 8th grades (athletes from all schools welcome). The camp will take place in the Wind River Elementary Gym from 9 - 11 am. Cost of the camp is $25 per athlete.
Brush up on your skills by working with the high school volleyball team and take home some fun swag!
