The Wind River 2022-2023 Yearbook is now available for purchase for just $35. All 2022-2023 yearbooks will be ordered upon completion of the fundraiser and will be distributed as soon as they are available from the printer. Sale ends March 7, 2024. A limited supply of yearbooks from previous years are also available for purchase including: 2018-2019, 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 These books will be sold on a first come first served basis, so order now before they're all gone! Proceeds from the sale of these yearbooks will benefit the 2024 senior class trip to Washington D.C.

HS Wrestling Regionals will be split between girls & boys teams. Girls will wrestle at Riverton High School Friday and Saturday. Weigh-ins on Friday will be at 11am, with the first round of wrestling starting at 12:30pm. Saturday weigh-ins will be at 8am.
Boys will be wrestling in Shoshoni on Saturday only! Weigh-ins will be at 8am with the first round of wrestling starting at 10am. Admissions will be charged at both events. Good luck cougars!!!


Another successful Service Week is completed thanks to our wonderful community! If you purchased something from the online auction, the items are ready for payment & pickup in the MSHS office. Please come by Thursday of this week!

JV Girls will play at 4:30pm in the main gym this Friday instead of 4pm! JV Boys will still be playing at 4pm in the elementary gym. Just a reminder that we will have chili and some live auction items as part of service week! Hope to see you there!


As part of the service week fundraisers there will be Chili served at the Wind River vs Shoshoni basketball game! A bowl of chili may be purchased by donation. Come and and enjoy good food and some enterntainment! All proceeds go to the Bate's family!

Student lunch debt has been paid off for every student attending Fremont County School District #6 due to the gracious Christmas donation from Possum Pete’s. Through FCSD 6’s current food service program breakfast and lunch are free. The only time a student will incur a cost is for à la carte items, milks that are not a part of a meal, or second meals.

February Student Artist of the Month is Sheraye Spoonhunter. Sheraye is a twelfth grader and is enrolled in Clay/Sculpture III. Below is Sheraye's ceiling tile project, where she picked a famous artist and used acrylic paints on a ceiling tile. After high school, Sheraye plans on attending college at Western South Dakota to pursue a career in Dental Assisting. Congratulations!

Wind River students are gearing up for some fun ways to earn money for service week! The MS Boys Basketball team will be playing at Fort Washakie this Thursday, February 1st at 4:15pm. They will be playing in the smaller high school gym. To access, enter through Gate 2 and drive in front of the school and park by the Administration building.
The Youth Boys Basketball team will be playing here at Wind River in the Elementary Gym starting at 4:15pm. Good luck Cougars!


Ron Thon is considered to be the toughest wrestling tournament in Wyoming. 44 teams from across the state flocked to Riverton for the grueling 2-day tournament.
Female Varsity Placers:
Molly Bornhoft: Second Place at 110
Cora Remacle: Third Place at 105
Lily Hill: Fourth Place at 115
Maggie Jensen: Fourth Place at 140
The girls varsity team placed 5th out of 44 teams!
