Wind River Boys Basketball was invited to share their knowledge with the elementary students of Park elementary in Casper! They had 150 elementary kids involved in learning a defensive stance, shooting competitions, and learning the meaning of CHAOS. Proud to be a Cougar!
Congratulations to our Wind River High School Boys Basketball team on their victory last night against Wright at the State Championships. The final score was 74-68. The boys will go on to face Pine Bluffs tonight at 9 p.m. in the Ford Event Center in Casper.

CWC Discover Day! Did you know that Wind River High School Juniors and Seniors had the opportunity to visit CWC on February 8th? Students learned about college programs, student housing, financial aid, and recreational opportunities that are offered at the college.
FAFSA Fun! Did you know that Hattie Penny from UW EOC assists students in completing their Free Applications for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? The FAFSA gives students access to federal grants, work study, and loans to assist students in paying for college.

The Second Annual 3x3 Basketball Tournament is returning to Wind River School on March 10th at 4pm! All out of district or non-students must fill out a waiver to play. Registration packets (which include the waiver) can be picked up at the MSHS office or digital from Ms. Cottrill @ tcottrill@fre6.k12.wy.us Some changes were made for this year, in comparison to last year. Your feedback was heard and appreciated! There will be food and baked items available for purchase at this event.

The JOM/IEC will meet at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, in the WRHS Student Center. This group is seeking funds to support Native American students. Parents/guardians of Native American students are encouraged to return the 506 forms as well as a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood as soon as possible for this purpose.

State Champions!!!! Congratulations to AnnaBeth Bornhoft and Molly Bornhoft for winning State Championships in Girls Wrestling! Molly won the 105 lb. division while AnnaBeth dominated the 115 lb. division. Great job ladies!!!

Due to the forecast wind chill factor Thursday morning, Fremont County School District #6 will have a three-hour late start for all of its schools. Buses will also run on a three-hour delay. If conditions on your roads are impassable please contact the Central Office at 307-856-7970. We will try to pick up students to the best of our ability given the conditions. Schools will be open, and families are more than welcome to bring their students to school in whatever manner they deem appropriate. There will be no late bus Thursday evening.
