This week the 4th Graders are taking their skills to the Lander Swimming Pool. This week every student is being coached and taught the foundational skills of swimming. We are thankful for the swim instructor’s attention and dedication to our students. In addition, we are grateful for the school board in supporting these activities!

Wind River Schools would like to give a huge shout out to the White Buffalo youth mentors and cultural specialists who spent the afternoon teaching our students how to set up a teepee and shared the cultural significance of teepees in the lives of indigenous people. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!









On Monday, Wind River celebrated this year's senior class with a Senior Signing Day. Student plans include attending college, taking a gap year, joining the military, and entering the workforce.











You are invited to the annual FCSD#6 Consolidated Grant Meeting, Thursday May 22, at 4 PM, in the Elementary Library, 223 N. Cherry St., Pavillion. The purpose of the meeting is to coordinate goals, objectives, and activities for each of the Federal Grant programs in the district.


This year, there are 5 amazing staff members that are retiring. We are so grateful that each of you chose to stay with us for many, many years! With a combined total of 91 years! The district had a "Sweet Retirement" party where we were able to celebrate and tell some stories. If you see these staff members throughout the end of the school year, be sure to with them a happy retirement!

Happy Native American Heritage Day!
Yesterday, youth mentors from White Buffalo Prevention showed students how to set up a teepee and told the students some stories. This was a great learning experience for all!

Today at school we are celebrating Native American Day. In recognition of the North American Indian, the second Friday in May is designated as "Native American Day" per Wyoming HB0094.

Vitalant will be visiting our school again this year for those of you interested in donating blood. They will be here on Thursday, May 8th from 12pm-3pm in the Boardroom (next to daycare).
You must be 18 years or older to donate without parental consent. Individuals 16 or 17 years old may donate with parental consent. A parental consent form may be picked up at the MSHS office, or from Ms. Cottrill, which must be signed and brought to your appointment in order to donate.
