There are a couple of camp opportunities available for Native American students this summer! Camp Big Horn is for students ages 9-12. The NOLS camps is for students in 8th-12th grade.


The Big Horn Camp is for enrolled Shoshone or Arapaho youth ages 9-12. The dates are August 7-11, 2023.


All parents and guardians of Native American students are invited to attend our JOM/IEC meeting on Tuesday, April 11 at 6 pm in the high school student center. We will set goals for our JOM program next year using the results of the needs assessment. Bring a dish to share!

Due to current weather and road conditions Fremont County School District #6 will be implementing a virtual education day, today Tuesday, April 4, 2023.


IMPORTANT NOTICE - Dear Parents and Guardians:
With the storm moving in today and Tuesday evening we want to be prepared in the event we need to call a snow day and close the district. Fremont County School District #6 has been working on establishing a virtual learning plan for Tuesday if needed. Alerts about a virtual snow day and/or late start will be sent to you as an automated call, text message and/or email. It will also be posted on the District website, and Facebook.
MSHS students who have internet access at home will find assignments on Canvas using their Chromebook. Paper assignments for Tuesday will be sent home as well for elementary students and others with no or poor internet connectivity on Monday (4/3/2023). The student work will need to be completed and turned into the teacher when school resumes Wednesday in order for your child to be counted as present for the virtual snow day(s).
Teachers will also be communicating and logging contact with parents/students through one of many avenues including: Canvas, Zoom, Remind, phone, and/or email during the virtual snow day in the AM and PM for elementary and each class period for MSHS students. Please be looking for information from your student’s teacher. This will include how you can reach the teacher if you have questions or if your student needs support in completing the work. We want to help as much as we can!

Wind River High School Student of the Week
Senior Remi Herbert has participated in football, basketball and track. He has lettered in all three sports. He is also an honor roll student.
Remi is a hard worker who gives 110% in everything he does! To go along with his great work ethic, he has a wonderful sense of humor that can make anyone feel better! He is willing to help students whether it's needing some help in class or getting their car unstuck! Remi is a gentleman and will hold the door open for you or carry a box in! His plan for going to Culinary School in Jackson is very exciting as this is something he has always wanted to do! Having Remi around is always a bright spot in the day! After graduation he plans to attend the Culinary Arts School in Jackson.
Outside of school Remi enjoys hunting, fishing, playing sports and hanging with friends.


MS Parents—- Due to overnight snow in Greybull, todays Middle School Track Meet in Greybull has been CANCELLED.

Wind River High School Student of the Week
Junior Maggie Jensen participates in volleyball, wrestling, and track. She is on the honor roll, is on the Student Council, and is a member of National Honor Society. Maggie is also a member of FFA. She has lettered in volleyball, wrestling, and track. After graduation she plans to play volleyball or wrestle at the collegiate level and then attend a trade school to become a flight attendant.
Maggie is highly deserving of the honor of being named student of the week. Her drive for academic success is unparalleled, as is her commitment to excellence in every aspect of her life. In every task that she is assigned, whether notes or final projects, she goes above and beyond, infusing every effort with a spark of character and individuality which marks it as uniquely hers. Her tenacity and strength of will are reflected in her academic achievements and in her accomplishments in her extracurricular endeavors, especially wrestling.
Outside of school Maggie enjoys making and selling jewelry and traveling with her family.


Wind River High School Student of the Week
Senior Calder Johnson has participated in football, basketball and wrestling. He lettered in all three sports and was selected All State in football for 2 years. He is also a member of National Honor Society.
We are proud to have Calder as a Wind River Cougar! His consistent dedication to school and all of the extracurricular activities that he is involved in sets him apart from most. He creates a positive environment wherever he goes and that’s why others enjoy being around him. Calder has set future goals for himself and has a plan to make sure those are carried out. We look forward to hearing about his future success. After graduation he plans to serve a mission for his church and then attend the University of Wyoming to pursue a business degree.
Outside of school Calder enjoys woodworking, metal working, hunting and playing guitar.


The National Guard presented to high school Juniors and Seniors. Did you know that the National Guard will pay 100% of Wyoming college tuition? Students can serve in the National Guard and get paid while attending college. Contact SFC James Savino at (307) 349-3127 for details!

Dessert Baking FLEX!
Wind River students made desserts this week in FLEX. French apple tarts, Chocolate Lava cakes, strawberry cheesecake ice cream bars, mini pumpkin pies, and butterbeer was made this week. Students made and ate their desserts in 30 minutes or less!
