In celebration of Native American Day, Stormy Friday from the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative came to Wind River Elementary and shared the many ways the buffalo were used to sustain indigenous American people. From providing the basics of food, clothing, and shelter to providing tools, decorations, soap, and toys, the buffalo were essential to the survival and lifestyle of the Native Americans who lived on the plains. Thank you for spending the day with us Stormy!

We appreciate the hard work and dedication of our teachers and staff every day, but we love to celebrate them during Teacher Appreciation Week. This week staff were presented with gift bags that included an engraved tumbler, candy and a Wind River Cougars Car Sticker. Just a small token of our appreciation for all they do, all year long. We would like to also thank Mr. Crowson and his third period students, Brayden Tatro, Blake Snyder, Jacob Hardcastle, Tucker Hardcastle and Isaac Gardner for engraving the tumblers for staff appreciation. You did a great job!!!
