In September 2021, Wind River High School Band Teacher Andy Edmundson, now retired, gave his top High School Band Students an opportunity of a lifetime. Sidnee Flint (Clarinet), Kayden Sixberry (Percussion) and Mina King (Trumpet), were selected to be a part of the Wyoming All State Marching Band and were also given a $1000 scholarship to assist.

The beginning of June they were sent 2 pieces of music Magnificent Seven and Ghost Riders in the Sky and instructed to have this memorized by June 29th when the 200 All State Marching Band musicians would come together for the first time to play together, and learn to march by their first parade in Cody on July 3rd and then July 4th.

After our Wind River Trio conquered this HUGE task, with never having any experience in marching, they headed to Sheridan on July 14th and then Marched the Sheridan Parade on July 15th.

The Trio then headed to Cheyenne to complete their Wyoming Tour on July 22nd and Marched the Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade on July 23rd.

Our Wind River Trio leave August 1st for Orlando Florida where they will March at Disney World.

To see this Trio in their element and the pride they have in their hard work in 90+ degree weather is amazing.  They are a great representation to Wind River High School and the talent these 3 have.
