HS Band Members earn spot on  2022 Wyoming All-State Marching Band

The 2022 Wyoming All-State Marching Band (WASMB) will be assembling again in the summer of 2022. They will be performing parades in Sheridan, Cody, Cheyenne, as well as Disney World in Orlando, FL. The WASMB was formed in 1990 and brings students together from all over the state to perform in various venues. Besides local summer parades, past bands have performed in The Tournament of Roses (Rose Bowl) Parade in Pasadena, California, the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City, and other venues in Honolulu, Hawaii,  Washington, D.C. as well as Scotland and Ireland.

Students are selected based on recommendations from their high school music teacher.

Wind River HS has three band students that were nominated and selected. The 2022 WASMB offered ten $1000 scholarships to students from 1A/2A size schools. The three students nominated and selected each received one of the scholarships. Junior Sidnee Flint on Clarinet, Sophomore Mina King on trumpet, and Freshman Kayden Sixberry on percussion will be participating in the 2022 Wyoming All-State Marching Band.
