Distance Learning

Welcome to the Fremont County School District Distance Learning Page.

Fremont County School District #6 recognizes that families are facing unprecedented times as schools across the nation are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and safety of your family and our staff is our top priority. During this closure, we will provide your child with a quality education through distance learning. On this website page, you will find important information about how teachers and staff at Wind River and Crowheart Schools will provide for your child’s education.

We recognize this will be a new experience for everyone involved and there will be successes and things to learn and adjust as we implement distance learning plans. We ask for your patience and flexibility as we learn along with you and your child how to make these seismic changes in how we educate students.

The Board of Trustees and staff wish you and your family good health now and in the days ahead. Stay safe, stay well, and stay in touch with us as we work with you on behalf of your child.

General Information

Student attendance will be taken weekly. Attendance will be based on teachers having an academic communication with each student or his/her parents. The communication must be two-way between teacher/student or parent and may include phone calls, emails, a discussion board, or live video conferencing (such as Zoom or Google Hangout).

Fremont County School #6 counselors are available Monday-Thursday from 8 AM-4 PM to help students and parents navigate these uncertain times. Students receiving regular counseling services will be contacted to set up their regular counseling sessions via phone or online meetings.
