WY-TOPP writing scheduled
March 28th marks the end of the 3rd quarter. As we enter into the final quarter of the school year, it is critical that students be encouraged to finish strong. Fourth quarter should not be seen as a time to wind down, but as a time to continue to develop and improve academic behaviors that enhance achievement. Spring is always a busy time for students. Stay up to date on school activities, academics, and happenings on the district website, social media, canvas, and newsletters.
WYTOPP summative writing will be taking place March 4th-15th for grades 3, 5, and 7. We ask that you discuss with your child the importance of doing his/her best on these tests. Teachers and staff have been working with students to prepare them for these assessments. We appreciate your part, as a parent/guardian, in helping ensure that your student is in attendance and has plenty of rest during the testing window. We know that a good breakfast will also help provide a great start to your child’s day.
Spring parent teacher conferences will be held on March 21-22. Conferences will be scheduled again this spring, please contact the school offices to schedule your child's conference.
Parents can help by encouraging and expecting their children to do the following:
Maintain excellent school attendance
Accomplish difficult tasks
Develop planning and organizational skills
Complete all assignments to quality standards
Complete all assignments on time
Prepare for quizzes, tests and exams
Persist despite challenges
Maintain a daily routine
Get the appropriate amount of sleep on a nightly basis
Working together, we can ensure high levels of learning for all students.
